This page is all about our club’s Officers. The positions that we have include: Advisor, President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Marketing Manager, ICC Representative, Event Coordinators, and Webmaster. Below you will find information on our Officers.
Advisor:
:: The Club Advisor is someone who kind of works in the background of the club, taking care of all the fine details that the Officers do not do. As well as attending weekly Officer meetings. The Advisor is a person who makes the proper arrangements with companies, amusement parks, museums, etc. for the club to be able to hold an event outside of school. The Advisor also helps with making the proper arrangements for holding events within the college campus as well. We depend on this person a lot, but this person also depends on us Officers as well to keep the club going. ::
President:
:: The President is the person who oversees all the other club Officers. The President is responsible for making sure all things are accounted for. It is also a responsibility of the President to lead the Officer meetings and make sure things get done. The President also confers with the Advisor about important matters concerning the club. The President is who all other Officers report to. ::
Vice President:
:: The Vice President reports to the President. The Vice President is responsible for also making sure things run smoothly in the club. Which includes but is not limited to, checking on status of club events, watching over a club meeting in the President’s absence, making sure all other Officers are on task, etc. The Vice President holds a supporting role to the President. ::
Secretary:
:: The Secretary is a person who helps during Officer meetings by taking Notes (or “Minutes” as it is usually called). After meetings the Secretary is to report on the previous meeting’s events in the following meeting. The Secretary is also responsible for the International Club Email account. It is the responsibility of the Secretary to check the Email account and see if there are any updates for new members, new event sign ups, also to remove any junk email, etc. The Secretary is relied on to report information to other International Club members. For example sending an email of the club’s Officer meeting notes (Minutes) to the Officers who may not have been able to make it. ::
Treasurer:
:: Our Treasurer is responsible for the money in the club. It is the responsibility of the Treasurer to collect all money for the events. Also to watch over the International Club account to make sure we are not spending too much but at the same time not too little. The Secretary also is responsible for conferring with the Advisor and making deposits into the International Club account when we make money for events like fund raisers. ::
Marketing Managers:
:: The Marketing Managers are our link to the students in Grossmont College. The Marketing Managers are responsible for making the posters that promote our International Club Events. Also they are responsible for promoting the club itself. The best kind of Marketing Managers are people who is willing to go out there and make our club known to the students of Grossmont College and the world. (We would like to have Marketing Managers who may have new and innovative ways to help promote the International Club). ::
ICC Representative:
:: The ICC Representative is our link to the Inter-Club Council. The Inter-Club Council is a group of representatives from all the clubs on Grossmont College Campus who meet once every two weeks and discuss events and various information about Grossmont College and its clubs. The responsibilities of the ICC Representative are to go to the Inter-Club Council meetings, take notes and then to report back to the club Officers about what was discussed there. We rely on the ICC Representative to keep us updated about what is going on around campus. (We are looking for someone who will be able to attend the meetings and carry out the responsibilities of the ICC Representative). ::
Event Coordinators:

:: Event Coordinators are the ones who watch over the events. The Event Coordinators also are the ones thinking about new events for the International Club. Some of the other responsibilities of the Event Coordinators are to help out during events when needed as well as checking with the Advisor to make sure the proper arrangements are made for the scheduled events. We rely on them during events when we do not have enough help. ::
Webmaster:

:: The Webmaster is the one who works in the background on the International Club Website. He/she is the one who is making sure the site contains the most up-to-date and current information concerning the club. Whenever you find something new about the website that you have not seen before it will have usually been done by the Webmaster. Remember to ask the Webmaster if you have any questions about the International Club’s Website. ::
