The International Club at Grossmont College is a club based on helping increase relations between International Students as well as Regular students at Grossmont College. We aim to have a platform for students to be able to communicate with one another as well enjoy the time they spend in the International Club.
Our club has many events throughout the school semester as well as over the Summer, Winter, and Spring breaks, ranging from museums, zoos, amusement parks, art galleries, camping trips, beach trips, BBQs, and on occasion bus trips to Northern California areas, such as Los Angeles. The main goal of many of the events that we hold is to help introduce California to the International Club members whom have never traveled to California or have not been to many places within California, in a fun and at times educational way. We strive to bring to our club members the best experience possible by considering new and various events every semester. So there will always be a new event or more every semester.
Just as with many clubs within Grossmont College we have various Officer positions that we appoint to members of the club. After going through an election/voting process from the club that is judged by the students of Grossmont College and then finally reviewed by the club or a third party member who is not involved (in order to be fair to all sides), select Officer positions will be appointed. The Officer positions that are available during the election process range from: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Marketing Manager, ICC Representative, Event Coordinators, and the Webmaster. Aside from the Officers in the club there are the regular club members, who are those students who have purchased a Grossmont College Student Benefit Card and have signed up to be a part of the club, either via the forms located in the International Student Counseling Office at Grossmont Community College or via our email address: gstinterclub@yahoo.com (also, for information on signing up for the International Club at Grossmont College, you can visit our “Join the Club” page).
